Privacy policy
Last updated: May 23, 2026
Thank you for visiting the websites of Herbal Synergies LLC ("Herbal Synergies," "Company," "us," "we," "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit, interact with, or make a purchase from our websites at herbalsynergiesbook.org and offers.herbalsynergiesbook.org (collectively, the "Sites").
1. Term of This Policy and How It May Be Modified
This Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service set forth the conditions under which users like you may access and use the Sites. By accessing and using the Sites, you agree to be bound by our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service then in effect and by all applicable law. If you do not agree with any of the Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy, you should not access or use the Sites for any purpose. We reserve the right to terminate or limit your access to the Sites for any violation of the Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy, or for any other reason, in our sole discretion.
We reserve the right to change or update this Privacy Policy at any time and will notify users by posting the changed or updated Privacy Policy on this page. Any changes or updates will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Under certain circumstances, we may also elect to notify you of, and/or obtain your consent to, changes or updates to our Privacy Policy by additional means, such as by posting a notice on the homepage of one or more of our Sites or by sending you an email.
2. What Information We Collect and How You Withdraw Consent
Our Sites may ask you to provide your name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, phone number, and a password so you can place an order, receive shipping, or set up a user profile. Regardless of whether you create a user account, we may collect non-personally identifiable information about you, such as your geographic location via your Internet Protocol ("IP") address, the device and browser you use, and the amount of time you spend on the Sites.
We use the following third-party services and software, each of which may collect or process information about you:
- Funnelish — checkout, order management, and product-list rendering at offers.herbalsynergiesbook.org.
- Stripe and PayPal — payment processing. Payment-card information is collected and stored by these processors, not by us.
- Klaviyo — email marketing service that stores your email address, segmentation, and behavioral attributes for newsletter and transactional emails.
- ShipStation — shipping and fulfillment software that gives us an overview of our shipments and allows us to send tracking notifications.
- Microsoft Clarity — heat-mapping and session-replay analytics. Clarity collects de-identified behavioral data such as mouse movement, clicks, scroll depth, and page navigation. It does not capture payment-card information or other sensitive form input. See Microsoft Clarity's terms for details.
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager — anonymous traffic and conversion analytics.
- Google (Google Sheets and Google Apps Script) — receives and stores sweepstakes free-entry (AMOE) form submissions. Used only in connection with promotional drawings (see Section 8).
We transfer and transmit your information to, and store and process it in, the United States. These data transfers are necessary to provide the services set forth in our Terms of Service.
By submitting information to our Sites, and by allowing us to collect non-personally identifiable information, you consent that any information you submit may be used to:
- Process and fulfill your orders, including shipping and tracking.
- Give you access to our Sites and any user-account features.
- Provide and manage your account.
- Respond to your questions, support requests, or refund requests.
- Administer the Sites and your use of them.
- Monitor and analyze our business or Sites operations.
- Protect the rights or property of our Sites, our users, or third parties, or as otherwise permitted by law.
- Send you marketing or promotional communications (only if you have opted in or made a prior purchase, subject to your ability to unsubscribe at any time).
- Administer promotional drawings, sweepstakes, and giveaways (see Section 8).
To withdraw your consent or unsubscribe from marketing emails, please send a message to lily@herbalsynergiesbook.org or use the unsubscribe link included in any marketing email.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Like many other websites, we use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons and local storage) for a variety of purposes, including remembering your preferences, maintaining your shopping cart, and analyzing how our Sites are used. Common cookies on our Sites include:
- Session cookies — short-lived cookies that remember you across pages during a single visit (e.g., the contents of your cart, your checkout progress).
- Persistent cookies — cookies that remain on your device between visits, used for purposes such as recognizing returning visitors and remembering preferences.
- Analytics cookies — used by Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics, and similar services to understand aggregate behavior on the Sites.
- Marketing and retargeting cookies — used by us or our advertising partners to display relevant ads on third-party websites and social platforms.
- Funnelish session cookies — used by our checkout platform to maintain your session and order data across the checkout pages at offers.herbalsynergiesbook.org.
Cookies are not used to identify you and, on their own, will not collect personally identifiable information. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can configure your browser to stop accepting new cookies, to notify you when a new cookie is received, and to disable existing cookies, or you can use third-party browser extensions that block cookies and trackers. If you choose to disable cookies, you may not be able to take full advantage of our Sites, including the ability to complete a purchase.
We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because no industry standard for honoring DNT signals has been adopted.
4. When We Disclose Your Information to Third Parties
We will not voluntarily disclose your personally identifiable information, such as your email address, to third parties without your consent, except as needed to operate our business. We do share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate our Sites and fulfill orders, such as the payment processors, shipping providers, email service providers, analytics services, and form-submission services listed in Section 2. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only to provide their services to us and not for their own marketing.
- Law enforcement, courts, and governmental authorities, if (i) required to do so by law, search warrant, subpoena, court order, or other legal process; (ii) requested by law enforcement or other governmental authorities, in our discretion; or (iii) we otherwise have a good-faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Herbal Synergies, our users, or third parties.
- A successor entity, in the event of a corporate change of control resulting from, for example, a sale, merger, reorganization, or asset sale.
5. How We Protect Your Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that our third-party vendors protect personally identifiable information that you submit through our Sites from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, which may include the use of firewalls, encryption, and other security measures. If you provide us with credit-card information, it is encrypted using secure-socket-layer ("SSL") technology and processed by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment providers; we do not store credit-card information on our servers.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard ("PCI-DSS"), as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort by brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit-card information by our store and our service providers.
Although no method of transmission or electronic storage is one hundred percent (100%) secure, we follow generally accepted industry standards to protect personal information.
6. Limits on Our Warranty of Third-Party Storage
We do not warrant or represent that our level of security meets or exceeds any particular standard. No server or internet transmission is ever one hundred percent (100%) secure or error-free. You should take this into account when submitting personal or confidential data on the Sites. Similarly, any information that you send us in an email message or other form through the Sites is not confidential or privileged.
In the event of a corporate change in control resulting from, for example, a sale to, or merger with, another entity, we may transfer your personally identifiable information to the new party in control.
7. Third-Party Pixels, Cookies, and Online Advertising
Notwithstanding anything else in this Privacy Policy, we and/or our partners may use pixels, pixel tags, and place, read, or use cookies that collect information from your device and/or internet browser. These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information on their own; however, it may be possible for our third-party business partners to combine that information with other information in order to identify your email address or other personally identifiable information about you.
For example, the cookies may reflect de-identified demographic or other data linked to data you voluntarily have submitted to us, such as your email address, which we may share with a data provider solely in hashed, non-human-readable form. By using our Sites, you agree that we and our third-party partners may store, sell, port, combine with other data, monetize, utilize, and otherwise use either (i) the personally identifiable information about you that we share with them, or (ii) the personally identifiable information they discover and/or identify as described above.
You can express choices for display advertising through the following platforms: the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out platform or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out platform. We and/or our partners may also use cookies for delivering personalized advertising emails. These cookies are used to identify visitors of our advertisers' websites and send personalized emails based on the visitors' browsing experience.
8. Promotions, Sweepstakes, and Giveaways
From time to time, Herbal Synergies LLC runs promotional drawings, sweepstakes, and giveaways (collectively, "Promotions"). This section describes the personal information we collect and how we use it in connection with these Promotions. It supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy and does not replace it.
Information We Collect for Promotions
Depending on how you enter a Promotion, we may collect:
- Free-entry submissions (Alternative Method of Entry / AMOE): first name, last name, email address, state of residence, age confirmation (that you are 18 years of age or older), confirmation that you have read and agree to the applicable Official Rules, an optional indication of whether you wish to receive marketing communications, the date and time of submission, and the page URL the entry came from.
- Purchase entries: if a Promotion offers an automatic entry with a qualifying purchase (for example, placing any qualifying order during the Promotion Period), we use the order data you have already provided at checkout (name, email, shipping state, order ID, and order timestamp). No additional personal information is collected from you for the automatic entry beyond what your order already contains.
We do not collect or store payment-card information in connection with Promotion entries.
How We Use Promotion Information
- Administer the Promotion in accordance with its Official Rules, including verifying eligibility, applying entry limits, and identifying duplicate or ineligible entries.
- Conduct the random drawing and select the potential winner.
- Notify the potential winner, confirm eligibility, deliver the prize, and respond to any questions about the Promotion.
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to sweepstakes, including any tax-reporting requirements that may apply to prize winners.
- Maintain an audit record showing that the Promotion was conducted fairly and consistent with the Official Rules.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or tampering with the entry process.
We will not condition entry on agreeing to receive marketing emails. If you opt in to marketing communications on a free-entry form, that consent is separate from your entry and can be withdrawn at any time without affecting the validity of your entry.
Publicity
If you are selected as a winner, acceptance of the prize constitutes your consent, except where prohibited by law, for us to use your first name, last initial, city, and state for promotional and advertising purposes in connection with the Promotion, as further described in the applicable Official Rules.
Retention
We retain free-entry submission records for a minimum of twelve (12) months following the end of the applicable Promotion's drawing date, for audit, compliance, and dispute-resolution purposes. We retain winner records (including any tax-related documents) for as long as required by applicable law, typically seven (7) years. After the applicable retention period, we delete or anonymize the records.
Your Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you in connection with a Promotion, subject to the limits in Section 12 ("Your Data Rights and Choices") below. Please be aware that requesting deletion of your entry record before the drawing closes will withdraw your entry from the drawing pool, since we cannot include an entry without the underlying identifying information. After the drawing has occurred, you may request deletion at any time, subject to our retention obligations stated above.
9. Health and Wellness Content Disclaimer
Our Sites, products, and the books we sell (including titles such as Herbal Synergies and Herbs & Medicines) contain general information about herbs, plant-based remedies, supplements, and wellness practices. This information is provided for educational purposes only and is not intended as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The content is not a substitute for the advice of a qualified healthcare professional.
Always consult a qualified physician, pharmacist, or other licensed healthcare provider before starting, stopping, or changing any treatment, supplement, or herbal preparation — especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking prescription or over-the-counter medications, or have a medical condition. Statements about herbs, supplements, and natural remedies have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Herbal Synergies LLC disclaims all liability for any decision you make or action you take in reliance on information from our Sites or our products.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Sites and products are not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under thirteen (13). If you are a parent or guardian and believe we may have collected information about a child under thirteen (13), please contact us at lily@herbalsynergiesbook.org and we will promptly delete that information.
Promotional drawings administered by Herbal Synergies LLC are open only to legal U.S. residents age eighteen (18) or older.
11. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA") give you specific rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Know what categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources from which we collected it, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with which we share it.
- Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, information we need to retain to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, or maintain a sweepstakes audit record).
- Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. While we do not sell personal information in the traditional sense, the CCPA's broad definition of "sale" and "share" may include certain disclosures to advertising partners (see Section 7). You may opt out of these disclosures by emailing us at the address below.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
- Non-discrimination — we will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your CCPA rights.
To exercise any of these rights, please email us at lily@herbalsynergiesbook.org with the subject line "California Privacy Request" and include sufficient information for us to verify your identity. We will respond within forty-five (45) days as required by law.
12. Your Data Rights and Choices
Regardless of where you live, you may at any time:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal and operational exceptions (for example, we may retain order records for tax and accounting purposes, or sweepstakes entry records for audit purposes, even after a deletion request).
- Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time, either through the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at lily@herbalsynergiesbook.org.
